I always get tired of the same old thing for breakfast and since I have been on a canned pumpkin kick, I decided to try out a breakfast smoothie in our Ninja blender. I didn't really have a recipe and just kind of threw it together, but it turned out really good! You can adjust it to your liking, but this is what I used:
1/2 c. Canned Pumpkin (100% pure)
1/2 c. Nonfat milk
1/2 frozen banana
1/3 c. nonfat plain yogurt
1 tsp brown sugar
few sprinkles of cinnamon
few sprinkles of pumpkin pie spice
Throw everything together in the blender and blend until smooth. This is a great breakfast treat.....low in calories, but high in flavor!
The weather has been absolutely gorgeous here in Okinawa....no humidity and in the low 70s. It is great! It would be great running weather, but my toe is still on the mend so running is not an option yet!
As for teaching.....well the kids have been really wild this week and really not into listening to Mrs. Leah!! So that means Mrs. Leah is not having the best week.......I am SO ready for the weekend and even more excited because we have Monday off for Veteran's Day! I did have to giggle out loud because I give the kids a pre-test on their spelling words every week so I can evaluate who needs more work, etc. I also have to tell you all that Japanese do not have any words with "L" in their vocabulary, which is why it is difficult for them to say/spell/hear the "l." They often think it is "R" instead. One of the 3rd grade words this week is fault. When I collected their pretests one of the girls spelled out fart instead of fault. haha. That is the little girl in me that still thinks the word fart is funny. But what made it more funny was when I asked her to spell "fault" she started giggling and said, "ooops.....I wrote fart on my paper." And the whole class (me included) was laughing. So silly!
Oh yeah, so Andrew and I rented Season 1 of New Girl......OMG, why didn't I watch this show last year?! It is hilarious and I love it. I laugh out loud so much during that show.....I really think of my sister when I watch that show and how hard we would laugh at it if we were watching it together! Another TV show that we rented the complete season of was Person of Interest....it's a fun show to watch, so check it out if you have never seen it before!
I think that's all I have to entertain you with today......and all I have to say is thank goodness tomorrow is Friday!!

Love reading about you guys. By the way, I listed your blog in my top ten list: http://www.mooreonrunning.com/2012/11/some-of-my-favorite-blogs.html
